Material and Equipment Grant Reimbursement Program Brochure.
The Hope for Highlands Material Grant Program will pay any Homeowner or Business owner up to and not to exceed $1,000 in reimbursement checks for eligible expenses listed on the attached brochure. The grant is for those Highlands Homeowners and Business owners impacted by the flooding from Hurricane Sandy.
All information will be kept strictly confidential and will be used solely for the purpose of qualifying you for the program.
As of March 15, 2014, ALL ELIGIBLE MATERIAL GRANT APLICATIONS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED. We have distributed $163,392.45 to residents and $30,700.00 to businesses in the form of $1,000.00 reimbursement grants. we will have distributed $196,000 through the Material Grant Program WITHOUT counting the Robin Hood grant program. This is a separate grant fund and
will be reported separately.

HBP-HFH Housing Repair Grant Program
The HBP has received a Robin Hood Grant Award in the amount of $200,000. The grant guidelines are set forth by the Robin Hood Foundation by where the money is to assist low to moderate income families to return home. All repairs must be code compliant. To that end, HBP has formed a Housing Repair Grant Program. Eligible residents can receive $5000 grants for housing repairs.

Housing Recovery Centers Will Open 8:00 A.M. Saturday, June 8, in Each of the Nine Counties Most Impacted by Superstorm Sandy
Sandy-impacted homeowners can apply for grant assistance at www.renewjerseystronger.org or by calling 1-855-SANDYHM (1-855-726-3946). The Housing Recovery Centers are an additional option homeowners have to apply for assistance. |

Christie Administration Announces July Launch of Stronger NJ Business Loan Program
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) today approved the creation of the Stronger NJ Business Loan Program at its monthly Board meeting. Beginning in July, the program will offer direct, low-cost loans of up to $5 million to businesses and non-profits that suffered physical damage, as well as to businesses looking to expand within storm-impacted communities. |
